My name is Nellie Deutsch . I am currently pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership, specializing in curriculum and instruction at the University of Phoenix online (scheduled to finish in 2009). I am researching blended learning and instructor use of web 2.0 tools for instruction and learning in higher education. I am a Canadian (Toronto) residing in Israel. I have been teaching English as a foreign language to high school and adult learners for over 30 years. I am interested in collaborating with other teachers worldwide and do this on Building Relationship . In my free time, I help educators become aware of the value of integrating web 2.0 tools for instruction and learning on a Moodle website called Integrating Technology: Exploring New Domains . I am doing this on a voluntary basis because I am passionate about learning and would like to see e-learning available and free worldwide. I believe collaboration is the key to improving education and ultimately world peace.

I am the editor of Etni Rag , an online journal for Israeli and other EFL teachers worldwide on a voluntary basis (writers are invited ) In addition, I am involved in social networking via facebook: Doctoral Students,English United Teachers of Israel and e-learning in developing and developed countries. In addition, I created the following ning social blogs: International Collaboration , Blended Learning and Instruction , Online Instruction, Connecting Online , and a few wikis on wikispaces, pbwikis, and wetpaint. You are invited to join and contribute to the groups. I am passionate about learning and love to share my explorations and findings with others. One of my projects was published on Once Upon a School. You are invited to contact me directly or leave a message on my talk user talk page on WikiEducator.
